Rêves…

Rêves.. It’s a french word which means Dream. You will be wondering that why the title is in french. Well I will explain that by the end of this post.

Now I should bring you to the main context of this post i.e. Dream.

If we go by dictionary the meaning of Dream is “A series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.”

But is it so? Dreams are much more than that for us humans. They are our ambitions which we have inside us all the time. Dreams don’t die; they are there inside even when we think they can’t be achieved. They effect our lives alot as they control our emotions as we achieve them or lose them.

Now why out of blue I am writing about dreams?

To answer that, I will share you an incident that happened recently during one of my travels.
It was a busy morning as I reached Mumbai Airport to catch an early morning flight. During security check I was informed that there is a delay in take off by 30 minutes. So I decided to spend time in the food court area to have a cup of coffee.
I took a table from where I could see flights take off and land. I don’t know why but a family caught my attention. The table in front of me had a family consisting of 3. 2 aged parents and 1 son in his mid-twenties. As I sipped my coffee I noticed that all 3 were looking outside watching planes. The old man then looked at his wife and smiled. The smile had a sense of happiness, a smile that said something special was happening.
I thought they would be happy about going to vacation. As I was trying to give my own reasons to their smile, the young boy received a call and he moved a side to attend it. As the boy moved from the table, old man spoke to his wife “You know I always wanted to take you on a plane, but in our lives, we could never afford flying in a plane.”
“You gave me everything in life and it is enough for me. And now we are going also” The woman replied.
“But I always dreamt of us flying together. With the time, I had given up on this thought. But it seems that what you really wish, that do happen.”
Both of them smiled at each other and again started looking outside.
That small conversation that I overheard, made me think throughout my flight and till date as I write this post, I think about it.

Should we give up on our dreams? Or should we keep them safe and wait for them to happen. Because we do get bogged down when things are not happening like we expect. Are we not giving time to our dreams? Or should we be so obsessive about them?

Even though I don’t visit temples or believe in the deity worship, I do believe in the literature that all religions have. I have heard that Bhagvad gita has all answers to your questions. And when I looked for an answer for the question that was rattling me from inside, I remembered this

"tasmad asaktah satatam karyam karma samacara
asakto hy acaran karma param apnoti purushah"

It means “Go on efficiently doing your duty at all times without attachment. Doing work without attachment, a man attains the supreme.”
Inculcate the habit of being open to everything and being attached to nothing. Attachment does give strength to work and love beyond ourselves, but it also limits us and makes our journey and growth difficult, especially if the object of our desire is taken away from us.
Too much desire can be bad, as it turns into greed. Greed takes you away from your true calling and dream, be it to achieve, create or innovate.
Do not be super attached to your work, as it makes your journey as an entrepreneur difficult and closed. You cannot wear binoculars and run the rat race.
You have to keep an open mind about the ever-evolving changes, adapt to them. Keep a close eye on your goals but do not get obsessive and be open to accept changes as and when required.
This post is for all of us, who have lost hopes on things that did not go the way we wanted. Life has better things to happen and you have to just keep moving. Let’s not be obsessive about what we want but embrace what we get. Sometimes we miss to enjoy what we have because we are obsessed with what we are looking for. Dream but don’t get stuck at them. Live more and feel what you never dreamt off.And to end with, why title in French? Don’t hate me for this but I thought that having a French title will be more sophisticated and different ‘:-P’.

Your Dream is Your Signature

Your dream is your signature...

A quote that has always given a rush inside my body. A quote which gives birth to a thousand questions varying from who am i? to what will I leave behind?
In this world where you are one in the ocean what is that you leave back in this world?

Is it the your children? Your properties or something else?

World tells you to follow the path defined by them. You take birth, study hard, grow up, get a job, play safe, get married as you need company, have children and then get old and die.
All follow this and it is not wrong. But I do not want to follow the line. Is it wrong? I do not want to prove it to others but me only.

I do not want money in my bank account for a future I do not know but for now when I can spend it.
I would like to live like a human and enjoy this life gifted to me as a human. And I want at least one person to remember me for the things I did in life and not being the one in this crowd.

And if there is an afterworld, will you be satisfied with what you achieved or are we going to again find life as reasons for not achieving the success
For those who would argue that from doing big if I mean to build some monument or leave a property behind. No I don't want to any of that. I think you don't hav to do anything but live your dream and it could be anything that keeps you alive even when u r gone.

Sounds vague. For me too but then you come across people and life.
I have a close friend of mine who always talk about her father. I don’t think there would be a day when I have not heard atleast something she learnt from her father or how he was an awesome person.
I have not seen him but I think I know how wonderful that man would be. He not only gave them the best in terms of all materialistic amenities but he filled their souls also with love. He taught his daughter to be a leader. He gave his children a power to dream and follow them.

And I am talking about 15-20 years back when girls were still considered to be a burden on family. This man raised her daughter and son equally. To live head high and survive even in the toughest. I guess that was his dream and he achieved it.

Today he is not in this world but I believe he is alive. He left his signature in this world with his two kids and through them he is still alive. Or else i won't have learnt about such a wonderful human.
Living this life depends on you. How you PROVE it to YOU and not to the WORLD.

How you leave a mark or live your dream is a question only you can answer.

As Malcolm Forbes rightly said, you cease to live when you stop dreaming.

It’s a Good bye for Now

Hello everyone, it has been long that I have been missing from my blog after my fallout with GOD (missing as if anyone was looking for me… LOL). It should not matter too much for me if someone was looking for my posts or not because I write it for me. I won’t deny the fact that someone really had inspired me to write my blog but then that person also left. Life is like a train journey; people come, stay and then move out. You can’t cry or make fuss about it.

Well today there is nothing specific I want to write, it is just about the things happening and how confused I am in the whole process and what I think I should do. Life is giving me a bag of mixed emotions. It is like life is throwing lemons at me and I think I am going to make lemonade from them.

I am feeling my dream, my passion is still haunting me because the more I am trying to achieve them, more I feel that they going away. It is like a mirage, you feel you can reach them but then they are still away.
My current job is going fine, but then there is no energy or kick that would drive me to office. The feel is not right at all to work in that kind of environment but my commitments stop me from quitting.
And the worst part it previously when I used to be in such a phase where I felt low, when the things didn’t look fine, I used to just pick up my phone, dial number of my close ones and just talk random. Sadly today the busy world has taken over everything. Sometimes they are in meetings, sometimes they are with family or sometimes they just don’t realize because the phone is on silent. So other than the above said 2 points this fact kills me more that world has taken over my space in my people’s (I don’t call everyone my people) lives.

I guess the phase is not right for me. Some people say it is all about time, and God will make things right. I don’t feel so because it seems the so called GOD is trying to put me down, trying to bend me with his wits. Well if that is the case then I guess the “WAR is ON”. If I have stood by people in their tough times, I guess I can stand for me when required. Like my childhood days, the years when I spent my time alone in house, all alone, I had been my friend, my philosopher and my guide. I recall those times, when I used to stand outside our society playground where kids of my society used to play cricket and watch them playing. I was never taken in team because they knew the moment my mother reached back from office, I would have to leave the game halfway and go home.
The feel of being alone is not new to me. But since I got some freedom, I had made up a family of my own, of my people, the people I called friends, rakhi sisters or so called brothers from another mother. I have not been alone in recent past so it feels odd a bit now to find no one around. But then no one promised me to be there, and even if they did, they have their own lives.

There are some decisions I have to take to move ahead, to fight with this world, which tries to change you the way they want. I have my dreams to achieve, I have to show this world that I have lived alone and I can live alone again. I still won’t change, you all can look for me, this guy will still be there for you. Not like I will be there but unavailable when needed. I will be there, the way you have always found me.

This will be my last post till I have finished my first script. The thing I want to do for me, and till that time nothing else. There are some more steps I need to take, some decisions which may end some stories or which may make them believe that I left.  My stories never had an ending, I just leave them halfway. I don’t like endings but then I will accept the fact, that end is necessary. And there will be endings in every story of my life someday.

Till the time I am back, its good bye from me. Thanks for being there.

My Encounter With God....

Tring Tring....!! Tring Tring....!! Rang my cell phone... I looked at my mobile screen to see who was calling... To my surprise it said no number. Confused and thinking who's this, i picked up my phone and said "Hello."

"Hello!!" came a computerised voice which continued ", your request for an interview was accepted by God. Please reach your room by 7.30 pm and open your almirah. He will be waiting for you." saying this the call got disconnnected. Before i could react and say anything i could hear the disconnected tone.

The whole day i was restless. God waiting for me in my almirah??? I thought someone is playing prank and they would be expecting to see me restless and roam around telling what happened. So i played kool. But deep in my heart i was thinking, what if it is true... Naah... I can't be....

I reached back to my room at 7 and everything seemed to be normal. I checked my almirah where i have made a small temple kinda thing. Nothing happened and i thot in my mind that someone played wid me but he failed. With a winning smile i sat on my chair and started checking my mails, but the celebrations were not for long. Trrrrriiinng.. Trrrrinnnng.... At 7.30 my phone rang breaking the silence in my room. I answered the call with a surprise as again my caller id said no number. Same computerised voice answered when i picked up which said ", Your appointment is on. Please come in..." after that, what happened was really unbelievable.

My almirah opened itself and rays of light started coming out from it. The light was bright and blinded my vision, but somehow it was not hurting. The rays had a soothing effect and i started to feel a soothing effect all over me. Suddenly i heard a voice "Hi prasanth, How are you?" I could not see anyone as the rays were still bright. Blood was flowing at the maximum speed through my veins, i could feel the tension when first time heard the voice and i wanted to reply but no words were coming out of my mouth. I was tottaly dumbstruck. Somehow I gathered all the courage and replied "Who are you and why can't I see you?"

"I, I am the manger of this Universe.... Generator, Operator and Destroyer of this world. You people call me GOD." replied the voice.
"God!???" I answered with surprise "but why can't I see you and what are these lights which are blinding me?"

"Yes GOD, and yes you can't see me. Its because you believe in me, my every face, my every shape" came the answer which continued " people who believe in rama, see me as rama, who believe me as Krishna, see me as krishna, who believe me as Jesus could see me as Jesus but you believe in all of them. Thats why you won't see any of them but my pure soul and it is invisible."

"And what interview, how can I ask you for an appointment?" i questioned with confused thoughts still going all over my mind. God replied "Oh! you forgot day before yesterday, when you were reading about Haiti Earthquake and you said that you wanted to meet me and ask why do i do all this. I heard it and just came to meet you. Ask me what you wanted to ask?"

I couldn't believe my ears about what I heard. God came to meet me and answer my queries personally. ''Hey am I dreaming....?" I asked myself, but i was not. I realised that whatever it may be lets fire some questions. With all the energy which i was left with, I gathered myself and fired my question.

Me: Why do you attack poor countries? I mean, earthquake in Haiti which is the poorest country of Western Hemisphere? Famines and draughts in african region which are already poor. Why so? why not in devoloped countries? I don't say to hit devoloped countries but why this damage to be done by nature?
God: Its not correct what you are saying. Nature hits all the places, it does not discriminates countries as poor or rich. if earthquake hit in Haiti, then Katrina came in US. But yes this is true that Nature comes very harsh. But you should realise it is a cycle. Destruction is a part of the life cycle. Something is created when something is destroyed. Ok, look it from another point of view, to maintain love and feelings for each other in all my kids these things are required. If a country like US is hit, people will be sad but won't help because it is a devoloped country. But people come forward when some poor countries are hit. The helping desire enhances this way. Or else you people are now living a mechanical life, whereas i created you to live together in happiness and spreading love. Why were you sad and reading about Haiti? You wanted to help people in Haiti. But were you worried when Katrina hit US?'(I agreed, that we get more emotional if a poor country is hit with a natural calamity)

Me: God why did you made religions? So much hate and agony takes place due to this. Why?
God: Son, i never made religions. When I first created you and sent to this world, you believed that everything in this world was me. I mean, you worshipped Sun, Wind, Fire, Water, Soil, everything. But as you all started learning and more civilized you became ignorant to all this. You started destroying things which once you believed was me. At this juncture, I had to do something to reach out to the masses and i sent prophets and some of my incarnations to guide you. In process of reaching out to everyone, I came in different names but the message was same. Love all the people and living beings. But if have good kids, i also have bad kids. Those kids misguide people on name of religion and are destroying all i havecreated. What i teach and expect from my good kids is not to hate their brothers who are going in wrong direction, and guide them to the way of happiness and peace.(I too agree, most of us believe in every religion. We respect others thoughts, but there are few people in between us who try to use religion for their own benefit.)

Me: Why is there a difference in poor and rich? I mean why didn't you make everyone rich. If there was no poverty then world would have been so good.
GOD: Hahaha, Son this is again the cycle to run this world. If everyone is rich who will work? I mean have you ever seen a rich guy doing labour work? Have you seen a Landlord doing farming? If everyone is self sufficient, no one will work. So I gave roles to everyone. And to play these roles there has to be some driving force. These materialistic things are the driving force. I mean, will you work for your company for free. Or if your bank balance is 100,000 $ will you work?(i realised what i heard was correct. You won't work if you are rich.) Me: Hmmm.... What should i ask now? I still cannot believe that I am talking to you.... If it is true then why did you select me? I am not big bhakt or something.GOD: Hahaha, its not thatyou should be chanting my name whole day. Forme all of you are my kids. Some are naughty, some are simple. Some believe in me, some don't. About you being selected, it was just a random selection. I told you na, to pass my mesage i select people. You mail around, wrie blog so i thought why not use your help in spreading my message.

Me: Message??? What kinda message?
GOD: That you all humans are my children. You believe me in different forms and call me different names but in the end I am same. Don't fight over my names, believe in me and live, love and be happy. Learn from the nature, what it is teaching. Every sunrie teaches you that after every dark night there is a sunshine. So if you are going through tough time, you will have a better future. Seasons teach you that in life you have to pass through every phase, it will sunny sometimes, it will be rainy, it will be spring with flowers all around you. Believe in me, if something is happening, i have planned something. Don't fight over materialistic things, live the life gifted to you, enjoy it with your family and friends instead of worrying about increments and bonus. Don't care that your neighbour is being promoted and you are not because i have planned something else for you. Be happy with what you have and try to spread smiles around and you will find yourself smiling. Essence of living happily is to spread happiness and enjoy the life. Heal the world, make it a better place for you and the entire human race.

Me: Thank you GOD for selecting me as your messenger. I will do my best to pass this message to the world. and I am really blessed that you chose me to do this.
GOD: Thats all right but my dear son to pass this message you have to do one thing first.

I enquired ", Whats dat god?" Hearing my question I could make it out that GOD was smiling and then i heard a Voice....

"Wake Up! Wake up! oye you are late, you idiot its 6.45 already." came a voice with a bang on my door. I woke startled and realising it was my friend who was banging my door.

"Yeah, I am up." i replied with a grin on my face. then i looked around but everything was normal. It was dream, but was it? I don't know but i thought i will share it because i think it was something which was worth sharing.

The Day I fell In love....

Today i wanna share something special.... something that happens to everyone once in a life, with sumone.... yes it happened to me.... Yes!... I know you won't believe it but its true.... This thursday my Manager Mr. A (names not to be disclosed) as usual had some work for me... Infact for friday also... nd majboori ka naam mahatama gandhi... mujhe friday ko kaam karna he padega.... but is ek din ne meri life change kar di....

There are 7 indian schools in qatar and they were having Inter school competitions on a big scale for which my company had sponsored.... On Friday it was the final which was to be held at Doha Cinema from 9 AM till evening.... I was supposed to reach there by 10 in morning and stay there to make sure that our company's visibility was all over during the programme.... Because in evening our COO was supposed to come and give away the prizes i cud not even think of skipping the programme....

Well it was a usual friday with only unusual thing, that was me getting up by 10... OH Shit!... I was late..... got up from my bed, brushed, took bath (yes i brush and take bath, don't be surprised) and rushed in my car to the Venue.... I reached at 11.30, and as soon as i entered the hall, i cud hear a girl sing maapila pattu (mallu islamic song).... ", Gaya aaj ka din", i thought and entered the hall....

there was a genuine crowd, mostly parents of the participants, but the balcony seats were mostly empty. Neways i went around the area with one of the organisers and checked if everything was ok. Then Mr. O (organiser) directed me to the seats in front as we were the sponsors. I smiled and went towards the seat thinking ",mera dimaag kharaab hai yahan baithunga.... yahan to so bhi nhi skta... sabko dikhega....", I started looking for a seat behind.... and then decided to go to balcony section jo thoda distance mein and khali bhi hai.... I got up and sat in seat in balcony..... competitions were goin on... an invisible woman was announcing names of team for various categories... bache aate ja rahey they, apna naach gaana dikhatey ja rahey they... Main bore hone laga to i connected my mobile to net and entered google talk.... Started chatting wid people wen i felt a shadow crossed me.... ", Yahan kaun aake baith gya yaar....?", thinking this i looked around and saw an angel like girl sitting two seats apart from me....

OMG! Two seats next to me sat a typical Indian girl in a pink salwar kameez which complimented her very well... baal baandhey hue, duppatta iron kiya.... oh my god kya ladki hai yaar.... Aisa nahi hai ki ussey sundar ladki maine nhi dekhi but somehow uske chehre se nazar hattane ka dil he nhi kar rha tha... Koi jaadu sa tha usme.... Mere phone pe IM ka beep bajey ja rha tha par aisa lag rha tha ki bas usi ko dekhta rahun.... Before I could finish admiring her beauty she looked towards me... I realised that I was still staring at her and she had understood that... My mind started screaming", Oh God! kuch bol prasanth kuch bol, dekhta mat reh... Kuch bhi bol," And I did ask....

I asked ", You came to see the competition?", and fir sochne laga ," Wah! How smart.... abey woh kya yahan tujhe milne aayi hai, competition chal rha hai usko he dekhne aayi hogi,"... With a confused expression (thanks to my smart question) she answered ", Yes, My sister is participating in one of the competitions." and then she started looking in to her mobile like reading some sms. I wanted to speak more to her, but pehle he mooh khol kar maine apni akal dikha di thi so i was jst avoiding to spit out more stupidity, when she turned towards me again and asked with a smile ",You are here with someone who is participating?" But i wasn't listening, i was busy admiring her eyes and her smile ", Oh God! kya hasti hai yaar...", when she repeated again realising i wasn't listening. ", Hunh! Yes.. Oh! no no... no one." as i was saying this i realised ki main kya yes no yes no kar rha hun... Meri antar aatma chillai ki abey ek baat pe ruk... Yes Or No....Coming back to senses I replied clarifying ", I mean, I am from CGC, CGC Nokia, I mean we are sponsors."

"Oh! so u r not a malayalee?" she enquired. Mujhe apne mallu hone pe itna garv kabhi nhi hua tha. I replied with a smile ",Arey nahi, I am a mallu, I mean malayalee." (kar di thi maine gadbad bol k mallu). tabhi khayal aaya ki naam bta de to shayad wo bhi naam bta de.... I said bending on her side ", Oh! by the way I am Prasanth... and you?" ",I am radhika, Radhika Menon." she replied. Radhika, kitna pyara naam hai.... Mann he mann socha Ma tere liye bahu mil gyi.... Wo uth k mere saath wali seat pe aake baith gyi. Aisa laga ki aaj bhagwan se lottery bhi maangu to shayad wo bhi de dega....

When she came next to me we started talking. I came to know that they were from Calicut and her parents were settled here. Her dad is working in Qatar Petroleum and she just came back after completing MBA and was searching for a Job. Her parents had gone to kerala, dats why she was here accompanying her sister. Mann he Mann main sochne laga ki yaar sab kuch set hai, kerala se hai, pyaari bhi hai, shaadi kar he leta hun. We were discussing about each other when she said ", I have seen you before also." At that moment of involuntary reflex, my brows raised and mouth opened with an expression "How... What?? She continued saying "Yesterday you came to BPS (birla Public School) with some colleague of yours." I replied "yeah, it was me and our Visual Merchandiser." I could not believe that she remembered because i was there for just an hour and there were so many people. How did she remem me. I wanted to know but darr bhi lag raha tha ki kuch bakwaas pooch lunga.. But u see, I was not able to resist asking that idiotic question of mine and asked her “But how do u still remember me, having seen me only once that too in that crowd?” She did shy for a while, before revealing that I was very impressive that day. She said that her friend noted me first as my dark blue shirt was striking enough to make heads turn! She also said the way I carried myself in style that made her friend fall for me! I seriously didn’t know how to react, as I was bemused thinking if only that style of mine made her fall for me?? I was not convinced with the reply but I did not want to make her feel uncomfortable asking more about that day. Anyways I felt good, though that was not what I expected. I mean not her friend fall for me. Nevertheless, in that next moment of honest confession she said, “Yeah true …Even I felt you were really good that day”. Hmmm.. Now I realized that she was really interested in me and from somewhere I got some confidence to move further.

She was not done yet. Her confession continued as she told me that she saw me sitting alone here so she came around so that she can speak to me and she was really being attracted towards me. I cud not believe my ears and was njoin every moment at that point. Yaar koi ladki mujhse attract ho rhi hai... Kya baat hai.... Aaahun Aaaahun, Aaaahun Aaahun.... Maine apne dil ki party ko jaldi se khatam kiya and then I looked into her eyes. She was feeling very shy on admitting everything to someone she spoke for the first time. I could see the love in her eyes and somehow i was feeling from inside that yes she is the girl. My heart was shouting that take her home with you. Dil se zor zor se awaaz aane lagi abey pata le, pata le, abhi propose karde, she will agree....." It seemed everything was happening so fast.

I regrouped myself for the brave act I needed to do tonight. I started “Radhika..When i was came here i thought what i was doing here wasting my day but now everything is falling into places” in my trademark idiotic way! She smiled with a slight confused expression and nodded her head. I continued adding some sense to what I said “ Yeah. I mean that I found you and i realise without you sitting next to me, my day wud not be so beautiful. Thank you!” She said in a girlish way “Come on Prasanth”! and stretched her hands, relaxing. I did not know what I was doing, but I clung her right hand… so tightly with my both hands and in the next second, trying to be romantic I opined, “Do u love me and can we marry each other”?

I did not feel I did a mistake, after seeing her expression not so harsh. She was bewildered though! May be she did not expect my proposal so soon. I could feel she was not comfortable! But I was wrong! She thought for a while and she placed her left hand upon mine and said “I feel I m lucky”! Now this confirmed that she has accepted my proposal. I was on cloud nine! I stood up and jumped high in the air and THUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found myself on floor in my room. I checked my watch and it was 12 in the noon and i realised i haven't gone to the programme. As usual i already reached programme but in my dreams..... OH god! I am late for that programme.....

I got ready thinking about radhika and what i dreamt.... I went to the competition but I didn't find any radhika.... Hopefully kabhi to milegi... Yahi soch ke khuda hafiz kaha ki shayad this is what it means to how you fall in love..... falling from your bed in your dreams......
